Stephanie is a lifelong boating enthusiast who joined the Champlin’s Marina & Resort team in 2024 after relocating from Virginia. Her love for the water began at a young age, growing up on water skis and surfboards, and spending her free time exploring coastal waters with friends and family. That early connection to boating shaped her career goals and ultimately brought her to Block Island.
As part of the management team at Champlin’s, Stephanie is focused on enhancing the guest experience from the moment boaters arrive at the dock. Her transition to Block Island marks a new chapter, one where she’s eager to bring fresh energy and a strong work ethic to a marina known for its iconic presence and vibrant summer atmosphere.


BOATING EXPERIENCE
Stephanie’s background in boating goes far beyond casual interest. She grew up on the water and has always felt at home in a marine setting. From navigating coastal waterways to helping friends and family maintain their boats, her comfort on the water is second nature. That hands-on experience with watercraft and her familiarity with marina life give her a practical understanding of what boaters need and expect.
While she may be newer to a professional marina setting, her lifelong exposure to boating culture has equipped her with the instincts, awareness, and communication skills necessary to thrive in a fast-paced dock environment. She’s not only familiar with the boating lifestyle, she lives it.
LOCAL EXPERTISE
Although she recently relocated, Stephanie has already immersed herself in the Block Island community. She brings a fresh perspective to the marina while making a point to learn from those around her. Her enthusiasm for the island and its unique pace has helped her quickly build rapport with both coworkers and customers.
Stephanie spends her time getting to know the local vendors, walking the docks, and learning the rhythms of the harbor. She’s committed to becoming a familiar and reliable presence around Champlin’s, using her strong interpersonal skills to bridge the gap between long-time islanders and new visitors.

Stephanie believes that great customer service is what turns a good business into a great one. Her approach is centered on making people feel comfortable, respected, and heard. Whether a guest is arriving for the first time or returning for another summer, she works hard to ensure that everyone receives the same high level of care and attention.
She approaches each day at Champlin’s with a hospitality-first mindset. From helping with dock lines to answering questions with a smile, Stephanie strives to make the marina feel approachable and professional. Her goal is to contribute to an environment where both locals and visiting boaters feel welcomed and excited to return.
